This policy explains what personal data we collect on ymedia.io, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

ymedia.io is run by Yaabot Media LLP (“yMedia”, “we”, “us”), Haryana, India. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@ymedia.io.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us or what your browser sends with a normal web request.

When you run the free GEO and AEO audit tool

  • The website address you ask us to check, and the scores the tool produces.
  • Your IP address, approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from your IP address), time zone, browser type and language.
  • The page that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you used (for example utm_source).

When you ask us to email you the audit report

  • Your email address, along with the website you checked and its score.

When you join the yLedger waitlist

  • Your email address, approximate location, the referring page and your browser type.

When you use the contact form

  • Your name, email address, company, the service you are interested in and your message.
  • Your approximate location, the referring page and your browser type.

When you book a call

  • Calls are booked through Cal.com. Cal.com collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.

Analytics

  • We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure page speed. They do not use cookies and do not identify you personally.
  • We work with advertising partners, such as X, that use cookies and similar technology to record certain actions on the site. This helps us measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested.

Cookies and browser storage

Our advertising partners set cookies, as described above. The site also stores a few small values in your own browser:

  • Your light or dark theme choice.
  • Where your visit came from, kept for the current session so the audit tool can record it.
  • The email address you last used in the audit tool, so you do not have to type it again.

You can clear these at any time from your browser settings. To opt out of interest-based ads from X, turn off Personalized ads in your X ads preferences, or use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool. Embedded services, such as the Cal.com booking widget and YouTube videos, may set their own cookies.

How we use your data

  • To run the audit you asked for and email you the report.
  • To reply to your message or booking.
  • To tell you about yLedger when it is ready, if you joined the waitlist.
  • To follow up about our services when you have asked for a report or contacted us. You can tell us to stop at any time.
  • To understand how people find and use the site, and to keep it working and secure.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data for us and only as needed to provide their service:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website and runs the audit tool.
  • Google, whose Workspace tools (Gmail and Google Sheets) we use to send emails and keep records of audits, leads and messages.
  • Cal.com, for booking calls.

Our advertising partners, such as X, use the data they collect under their own privacy policies.

We may also share data if the law requires it.

These providers may store data outside India. We only use providers we trust to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep audit records, leads and messages for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other laws that apply to you, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update it.
  • Delete it.
  • Stop using it for marketing.

You can also withdraw consent you have given us. Email hello@ymedia.io and we will respond within 30 days.

Grievances

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, email hello@ymedia.io with the subject line “Privacy grievance”. We will acknowledge it and work to resolve it.

Children

This site is meant for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
